Garvin Industries 4" Octagon boxes come in 1-1/2", 2-1/8" & 3-1/2" depths and are used in the installation of wall or ceiling lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, security cameras, or various other electrical appliance (OEM) applications.  They come in a variety of styles and offer 1/2", 3/4" & 1" knockout configurations.  These boxes are also made with clamps to support flexible metal conduit or non metallic sheathed cable.  Garvin octagon boxes can be used in old work "cut in" applications or new construction.  Fan rated boxes are extra heavy duty and are made to accommodate the vibration of a rotational fan or large chandelier.  Dual Ear (DE) boxes are great when the mounting provision on exit signs, security cameras, and emergency lights is fixed in the wrong position.
